2021 WWE Fastlane Map, Matches, Start Time, Date, Match Map, Rumors, Location

WrestleMania 37 is fast approaching, and on Sunday night the last event will be on the PPV calendar before we reach the final destination which is the biggest show of the year. WWE Fastlane goes down Sunday night in the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Louis. Petersburg, Florida, and it will certainly bring great excitement and intrigue, as the most important show of the year lies ahead.

With the event so close to the biggest weekend of the year for WWE, Fastlane should be expected to continue to continue the WrestleMania building. The Fastlane map is still being compiled, with only one game confirmed by WWE. But most of the top stars in the promotion are expected to be in action at the event.

The main program starts at 19:00 ET and will be broadcast live on WWE Network and Peacock. Let’s now look at the Fastlane matches that have been confirmed, and discuss what else can be added to the map on the current television direction.

WWE Fastlane Matches

Universal Championship – Roman Reigns (c) teen Daniel Bryan: It’s unfortunate that Bryan is being used as a transitional opponent for Reigns to move on to his WrestleMania match with Edge – especially given that Bryan was once seen as the man who should have been Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent. Bryan defeated Jey Uso in a steel cage match at SmackDown and earned the shot at Reigns at Fastlane with a win. On March 19, Uso will fight Edge at SmackDown, with the winner to become special guests for the match.

Women’s Market Team Championship – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks: While fans are looking forward to the wrestling match between WrestleMania between Belair and Royal Rumble winner and the SmackDown women’s champion Banks, who could steal the entire WrestleMania weekend, it looks like WWE is struggling to get the program really up and running. Belair and Banks have already challenged Elimination Chamber for the labels, and it comes shortly after Reginald – who was an unwelcome addition to the storyline – made an attempt to intervene and help Banks. Without any significant build-up, they will get another chance at the belts at Fastlane as a busy match.

Intercontinental Championship – Big E (c) against Apollo Crews: Eventually crew had enough of his gifted performances that got him nowhere and increased his game, first brutally attacking Big E with the escalator and then accepting his Nigerian heritage. After Big E returned from the attack, Crews attacked again – and used the ring steps again – after Big E defended his title against Sami Zayn on SmackDown. Now the two will meet in a match, as both have set new levels of aggression.

Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus (No Holds Barred): McIntyre and Sheamus have already hosted a couple of cruel matches, most recently ending in a double countdown after knocking each other out with ringtrap. This has led to speculation that the Fastlane match would become a Last Man Standing match, although it has not yet been announced. Sheamus also mixed himself in the picture with Bobby Lashley, who meets McIntyre in WrestleMania.

Randy Orton Teen Alexa Bliss: Bliss has plagued Orton since Orton burned The Fiend alive, causing Orton to vomit several times. Bliss dropped the challenge to Orton for a match, saying it was his chance to kick her out of his life, which Orton accepted. It’s unlikely to be a ‘real game’, but it could indicate The Fiend’s return.

Shane McMahon vs. Braun Strowman: Strowman ruled out a problem with McMahon to exclude him from the Elimination Chamber contest for the WWE Championship. McMahon refused to apologize sincerely, but insulted Strowman and led to a planned match on Raw. Before the match started, McMahon Strowman got the upper hand and hit him with a camera and elbow and dropped the big man through the announcement table to set up the PPV showdown.

US Championship Riddle (c) to Mustafa Ali: Ali scored a victory over Riddle in an improvised match after Riddle had just competed in a six-man match. This eventually led to Ali losing in a title contest to Raw, after Riddle went on to defeat RETRIBUS members in singles. Ali became frustrated with the failures of his team, as well as helping him during his games, and as much tension as he had with Riddle.

Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: Rollins returned with a demand that the SmackDown roster join him in his vision of what the brand could be. While ignored by most of the list, Cesaro fought Rollins by using an extended Cesaro Swing to embarrass Rollins. Since then, Rollins has focused his attention on Cesaro, which he called the biggest waste of talent in WWE history. Nakamura recently came to Cesaro’s defense and delivered a Kinshasa to Rollins at SmackDown to set up the game just days before the event.
