The former Everton boss reached out to his former player to discuss a possible transfer to the Spanish capital
The new manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, has been in contact with Richarlison, a player with whom he would like to reunite in Spain this summer.
Ancelotti was appointed by Real Madrid in June for choosing to leave Everton to return to his former club on a 2024 contract.
The Italian boss now wants to bring one of Everton’s stars to Madrid, as he has been in talks with Richarlison over the possibility.
Purpose can confirm that a call between Ancelotti and Richarlison took place recently, with the forward currently serving with Brazil at the Copa America.
Ancelotti is keen to bring him to the Bernabeu, but any possible talks are in the early stages.
Still, the conversation between the two could develop into an offer that Everton could consider in the coming weeks.
Richarlison’s time at Everton
The Brazilian forward has been at Everton since 2018 and has made the move to Goodison Park after one season at Watford.
Ancelotti arrived midway through the 2019-20 season, with Richarlison scoring 15 goals towards the end of the campaign.
In total, Richarlison has scored 42 goals in 119 games for Everton, with 13 of those coming this past season.
Richarlison is currently with Brazil for the Copa America, with the Selecao booking their place in the final with a victory over Peru on Monday.
He started the 1-0 win before being replaced by Real Madrid by Vinicius Junior in the 85th minute.
