When they signed the first three-year contract in December 2020, AFC Leopards would receive KSh40 million a year, while Gor Mahia would receive KSh55 million a year from Betsafe.

However, the clubs did not say how much they would receive after the new deal was signed.

“We have had intense discussions and we are pleased to announce that, for the sake of our fans, our players and the maintenance of our league activities, we have reached a mutual agreement with Betsafe on a slight reduction in the sponsorship fee. , “said Gor Mahia. said on their part.

“Furthermore, our sponsor Betsafe went a step further and made an advance payment before the start of the second season, as a strong gesture of the long-term commitment to support the club’s activities.”

The clubs have addressed the issue surrounding the sponsorship contracts after rumors said the betting firm was ready to cancel the deal altogether if the teams did not agree on a fee reduction plan.
