The Nigerian will continue his career in the Turkish top flight next season
Sivasspor has announced the signing of Olarenwaju Kayode for another season loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The move would be Kayode’s second match with the Yigidos after he was loaned out with them in the Turkish Super Light last season.
During the 2020-21 campaign, the former Manchester City and Girona striker contributed 11 goals and two assists in 40 matches in all competitions for Sivasspor.
He has spent the past two seasons in the Turkish top flight in Sivas and Gaziantep of Ukraine. The 28-year-old joined Shakhtar permanently in 2018 after impressing with an initial loan deal.
After completing the move and his medicine, Kayode joined the rest of Riza Calimbay’s team at their training camp in Gerede where they prepare for the 2021-22 season.

Kayode has enjoyed a nomadic career, from his brief stint at Red Bull Ghana before moving to the Ivory Coast ASEC Mimosas in 2010.
Two years later, the Nigerian International switched to Europe and he followed with the Swiss club Luzern, followed by another period in Israel with Maccabi Netanya and the Austrian Bundesliga giants Austria Wien.
From Vienna, Kayode joined Manchester City in 2017, but he made no competitive appearance for Pep Guardiola’s team as he was loaned to Girona and Shakhtar Donetsk.
On the international scene, he has played four games for the Super Eagles without having a goal, and he will play for the three-time African champion since 2018.
