The Red Devils midfielder will not be drawn into a debate over his future and will continue to support an unhappy international team-mate
Paul Pogba has refused to talk again about Real Madrid being part of his future plans, with the Manchester United midfielder to send any transfer questions in the summer window.
A switch to Spain for the World Cup has been linked for some time, with the 28-year-old making no secret that representing the Blancos would be a ‘dream’.
Speculation has surfaced of late, with Pogba joins Old Trafford for the last 12 months of his contract, but he is reluctant to enter into talks over links to La Liga heavyweights.
What was said?
Ask interview during an appearance on The beach bar On why he did not play for Real, Pogba said: ‘I expected that.
‘I arrived [on the show] and I want to say thank you to everyone, I’m continuing my vacation and I have to go now because they’m waiting for me. ‘
Any other business?
Before stopping the transfer children, Pogba was asked about France’s performance at Euro 2020.
A star-studded team fell in the round of 16 in that competition, with Kylian Mbappe – who could not register a goal for Les Bleus – misses the decisive spot-kick in a penalty shootout defeat against Switzerland.
Asked if the guilty fingers inside the French camp are being pointed towards a Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Pogba said: “Of course not. If we have good players, great things are expected.
‘Everyone expects him to score five goals and be the Euro Golden Boot winner, but I think he created chances, worked hard, gave his soul and left everything on the field, which is the most important thing.
“He’s a great player who will learn from it, he will grow and he will come back like never before. He is not to blame, it depends on all of us because we are all in the same boat.”
