Baroka FC chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has indicated he is ready to sell their star players Evidence Makgopa and Goodman Mosele.
Reportedly, Orlando Pirates are in the pole position to score Mosele and Makgopa of Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele after impressing in the 2020/21 season.
It is believed that the 21-year-old shooter Makgopa will stay at Baroka as a loanee before moving to Pirates next year after enjoying his breakthrough season during the recent campaign.
Mphahlele could not confirm or deny that they had received offers for the two promising youngsters, and he explained that they are still their players at the moment.
‘All the players are still contracted with us and if anything happens before the window closes, you will be notified [media]”Mphahlele said Soviet.
“But as I talk to you, all the players are still here and everyone is coming back to the international matches.”
Makgopa won the PSL Young Player of the Season 2020/21 as a reward for his outstanding performances for Baroka.
While Mosele (21), who is one of the leading central midfielders in the country, is also linked with Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, he won the PSL Young Player of the Season award for 2019/20.
Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele recently unveiled eight new signings, including Athenkosi Dlala, central midfielder of the University of Pretoria, who is reportedly a direct replacement for Mosele in Limpopo.
The Baroka trio of Mosele, Makgopa and Denwin Farmer have been included in the Bafana group that will participate in the upcoming Cosafa Cup in 2021.
Mphahlele is delighted to see his club represented at the regional tournament to be held from 6 and 18 July in Gqeberha.
