In a shocking development, the Indian wicketkeeper and batsman Rishabh Pant it was found that he tested COVID-19 positively before the Indian team reunited and traveled to Durham for the three-day practice match.
According to several reports, he said that since Pant tested positive for Covid-19, he will not join the Indian team when all the other players rejoin England before the Test series. After the World Cup (WTC) final against New Zealand, the Indian team members left the bio-bubble to explore London and spend time with the family outside the bubble.

After the news that Pant tested positive broke out, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah, allegedly wrote a letter to the Indian team regarding bio-bubble protocols.
The five-match Test series begins with the first Test played at the Trent Bridge site in Nottingham. The second Test will be played at Lord’s from 12 August, the third Test match will be played at Leeds from 25 August, and the fourth Test will be played at the Oval on 2 September.nd and the final and fifth Test will be played from 10 September in Manchester.
This test series is the first assignment for Virat Kohli and co. in the second cycle of the World Test Championship (WTC).
