2021 WWE SummerSlam predictions, map, matches, start time, PPV preview, location, date

WWE is ready for the next big PPV event this weekend. The organization descends to Las Vegas for the return of SummerSlam, which departs from Allegiant Stadium on Saturday night. The match card is full of champions, legends and much more to excite fans for an unforgettable evening of action.

There will currently be seven title matches on the map, including Bill Goldberg returning to the ring to challenge WWE champion Bobby Lashley. In the other World Cup title race, John Cena returns from Hollywood in an attempt to drive the universal championship out of Roman Clings’ clutches.

WWE’s top women will also be in action. Nikki ASH defends the Raw Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match. On the SmackDown side, Bianca Belair will defend her belt in a WrestleMania clash with Sasha Banks.

Let’s see how we believe SummerSlam will play from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this Saturday at 20:00 ET (kick-off show).

2021 WWE SummerSlam predictions

Universal Championship – Roman Reigns (c) vs. John Cena

Cena has been here for a while, trying to get some reviews and also getting the benefit of doing a little promotion for F9 and The Suicide Squad. What he is not here for, however, is to become a universal champion. Where Goldberg could conceivably beat Lashley, because that’s just the tune WWE plays with Goldberg. But there’s a bigger story that’s old with Reigns, and a short-term title to Cena simply does not fit. Select: Roman Reigns retains title

WWE Championship – Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Goldberg

Just as miserable an idea as continuing to bring Goldberg back into the fray to create a memorable three-minute game, it’s clear that WWE and Goldberg are content to keep going until Goldberg’s three-minute games looks like the last time he tried to be eight minutes. It would not make sense to win Goldberg here, but it did not make sense to take down the title of Bray Wyatt, and it permanently destroyed the character of The Fiend and caused a chain reaction that eventually led to Wyatt and WWE – separation modes. In the interest of a misleading shocking title change in front of a packed stadium, it could happen again. Choose: Goldberg to win the title

Raw Women’s Championship – Nikki ASH (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair

Nikki ASH does not feel like a longtime champion. Her money in the bank deposit was a good moment, but the tip ‘Almost a superhero’ does not really set the world on fire and if it runs out completely, it will quickly get bad. Ripley has struggled as a champion, but it still doesn’t seem quite ready to run with the ball, though she will be clear as she gets more main grid experience. That may not make fans happy, but Flair is still the top of the list on the raw side, and she seems to be the most reasonable choice to leave SummerSlam with the belt. Choose: Charlotte Flair to win the title

SmackDown Women’s Championship – Bianca Belair (c) vs. Sasha Banks

The only guarantee here is that the match is going to be excellent. Belair and Banks have proven that their elite-level skills fit WrestleMania perfectly. With even more experience working together, the repetition can get even better. Banks that win the title back only make sense if you make 50/50 bookings, which WWE often does. Still, keeping Belair makes sense as long as WWE believes they can find interesting new challengers for her and not run out of Carmella and Zelina Vega week after week. Select: Bianca Belair to retain the title

Raw Tag Team Championship – AJ Styles & Omos (c) vs. Randy Orton & Riddle

There can be no useless result other than what Styles and Omos retain. They’re an amazing tag team act, but the long build that Orton finally embraces Riddle as a true friend should bear fruit for him to win the tag titles. The result can be one of the loudest reactions of the night. Select: Randy Orton & Riddle win the titles

SmackDown Tag Team Championship – The Usos (c) vs. Rey & Dominik Mysterio

It’s a shame The Usos almost lost steam when they won the titles. The plot of the family drama really died down when Jimmy, Jey and Roman all ended up on the same page. It does not help that the rivalry between Rey and Dominik mostly serves the story of Reigns more than building something meaningful for the teams involved. Select: The Usos retain the titles

American Championship – Sheamus (c) vs. Damian Priest

Sheamus was one of the men who really flourished during the ThunderDome era, not because of the lack of crowds, but because he had the opportunity to remind everyone how good he is. His American title was a bit successful, but WWE often struggles to figure out what to do with someone once he wins a belt. It’s now Priest’s turn with the belt, something he deserves after contributing well to wearing the Bad Bunny contest to an impressive degree of success at WrestleMania. Choose: Damian Priest to win the title

Edge vs Seth Rollins

Edge’s place on the roster is not a place where wins matter. He is a special attraction that can deliver a captivating story before big games. Rollins is still a man sitting in the back pocket of WWE as a challenger of any time. That said, Rollins vs. Because we know that winning Rollins has less value, with Reigns at the top, it indicates that Edge is a win. Choose: Edge to win

Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal

After the championship, McIntyre was a bit of a mess. His wandering promotions with ‘history lessons’ were a disaster, and now he is constantly threatening to stab people with his sword. Feather and Shanky should not have been banished from the sidelines, as McIntyre has more value in overcoming extra chances than just defeating Mahal, which will happen. Choose: Drew McIntyre to win

Alexa Bliss vs Eva Marie

I do not expect it to actually be a match. Eva Marie does not really do much for in-ring work, which means WWE uses her correctly. Bliss is a witch with a magic doll. Expect a bit of Doudrop interference, some pop nonsense and a quick Bliss win – if the bell ever rings. Choose: Alexa Bliss to win
