Despite the loss, Lokonga believes Arsenal are ready to take on the newly promoted Brentford for their opening game on 13 August and he is also keen to make his Premier League debut.
“Yes, everyone is ready, I’m ready, I do not want to start the league,” said Lokonga. the club’s website.

‘If I have to talk about the team, we had a very good performance, but we gave the ball away and then they scored. But yes, for the next time we have to be careful because I think we can avoid this goal. ”
Lokonga’s signing is expected to compete for places in Arsenal’s midfield, with Egypt’s Mohamed Elneny, Ghana’s Thomas Thomas set up.
He describes how he manages the first few weeks in London and his relationship with his new teammates.
“Really good, really good. “I think we have a very good group,” he added. Everyone is together, there is a good relationship between each other, and I think it’s good for the team and for the season.
‘Yes, I have really good relations with the other midfielders. The game is different because the pace is higher, the intensity is higher, so that’s good for me. ”
