The second T20I of the five-match series Bangladesh and Australia takes place on Wednesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
The hosts lead 1-0 after hitting visitors in the series opener by 23 runs. Bangladesh wants to carry the momentum and achieve another victory.
On the other hand, Australia will focus on making a comeback and leveling the series. They did not manage to chase the small goal of 132 in the previous game after a batting invasion. The Aussies certainly do not hope to repeat the mistakes in the second game.
It was clear from the first game that the track in the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium tends to stay slow, and spinners benefit from it. Bangladeshi turner Nasum Ahmed was the star in the opening match after picking up a four-wicket haul for 19 runs.
Bangladesh’s batting did disappoint, but the bowling unit decided the match in the host’s favor by defending only 131. With such a remarkable performance, it is highly unlikely that the home team will make any changes to the winning combination.
BAN XI: Mahmudullah (c), Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Naim, Shakib Al Hasan, Nurul Hasan (wk), Afif Hossain, Shamim Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Nasum Ahmed.
Like their opponents, the Aussies also did very well with the ball, but batting failure cost them the game. After only a bad match, however, the touring team is not expected to make any changes.
FROM XI: Matthew Wade (c & wk), Josh Philippe, Alex Carey, Mitchell Marsh, Moises Henriques, Ashton Turner, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Starc, Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.
