The 20-year-old will be returned to gain further experience in the first team after a period at Parma last term
The prospect of Bayern Munich, Joshua Zirkzee, playing the Belgian club Anderlecht in the 2021-22 season, the Bundesliga champions confirmed on Tuesday.
Zirkzee (20) was highly regarded in Bayern’s line-up and appeared during the pre-season campaign for the Bavarians after being loaned to Parma in 2020-21.
But Bayern have finally decided to release him for the upcoming term, rather than keep the youngster behind Robert Lewandowski warm.

“FC Bayern loaned Joshua Zirkzee to RSC Anderlecht for a year without an option,” Bayern said on their official website.
The 20-year-old striker is expected to get more match practice with the Belgian record champions.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic added: “It is very important for Joshua that he gets as much playing time as possible. RSC Anderlecht offers him this chance.
“Joshua can now take the next important step in his professional career in an interesting league, and I trust he will have a great season.”
The Dutch Youth International, which previously appeared in Target NxGn series profiling the most promising youngsters of football came during the pre-season friendship with the first team of Bayern around the wrong hits.
“I think that [Joshua Zirkzee] did not see his opponent approach, ‘Nagelsmann said after the game. He wanted to finish this one by chance. I hope he has a different seriousness in competitive matches.
“Actually, he does a lot of things right. At the beginning of this situation, he recovered the ball very well. We all wanted us to be able to continue there and I don’t think he did it on purpose.
“And I will not talk to him about this, because he knows he could have done better.”
