BCCI announces full schedule for domestic season 2021-22

On Saturday, the India Cricket Management Board (BCCI) announced the return of domestic cricket by announcing the full schedule for the 2021-22 season.

The local season begins with the Women’s ODI, which begins on September 21st. Similarly, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starts from October 20 with the final being played on November 12.

India’s leading domestic competition, the Ranji Trophy, would be played in a three-month window from November 2021 to February 2022. The previous issue of the Ranji Trophy was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

“The coveted Ranji Trophy, which was canceled last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be played from 16 November 2021 to 19 February 2022 in a three-month window.” said the Indian top council in a statement.

The Vijay Hazare Trophy, which is India’s 50 – over men’s tournament, takes place from 23 February 2022 to 26 March 2022. Up to 2127 domestic matches will be played in different age groups for men and women in the coming season.

Senior

  • Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20): 20 October 2020 – 12 November 2021
  • Ranji Trophy: 16 November 2021 – 19 February 2022
  • Vijay Hazare Trophy (50-over): February 23, 2022-March 26, 2022

U-23

  • CK Nayudu Trophy (Multi-Day): 18 November 2021 – 12 February 2022
  • State A-team one day: 23 February 2022 – 26 March 2022

U-19

  • Vinoo Mankad Trophy (One Day): 28 September 2021 – 29 October 2021
  • Challenger Trophy (one day): 3 November 2021 – 11 November 2021
  • Cooch Behar Trophy (Multi-day): 14 November 2021 – 7 February 2022

U-16:

  • Vijay Merchant Trophy (Multi-Day): October 1, 2021 – December 6, 2021

Women:

Senior

  • One-day league: 21 September 2021 – 22 October 2021
  • One-day challenger: 27 October 2021 – 31 October 2021
  • T20 League: 19 March 2022 – 11 April 2022.

U-23

  • T20 League: 17 January 2022 – 7 February 2022
  • One-day league: 11 February 2022 – 15 March 2022

U-19

  • One-day league: 1 October 2021 – 31 October 2021
  • T20 League: 4 November 2021 – 27 November 2021
  • One-Day Challenger Trophy: 1 December 2021 – 5 December 2021.
