Senior Indian Pacemaker Bhuvneshwar Kumar was recently seen in action during the One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) series in Sri Lanka. The born Meerut showed his top form during the Sri Lanka tour, where he played the role of Team India’s vice-captain.
Bhuvneshwar also has the ‘Player of the Match’ award in the first T20I after scoring a four-wicket wicket in his 3.3-over period. He finished the series as the second highest wicketkeeper with five scales in his honor.
Since Bhuvi was not selected for the ongoing tour in England, he is currently spending quality time with his family at his home. Interestingly, Bhuvneshwar recently put mehndi on the hands of his wife Nupur Nagar but was trumped by her for the same.
With her Instagram story, Nupur compares the Mehndi designs she and Bhuvi made themselves. She shared a collage of two photos where the photo in the top half shows the Mehndi design of Nupur, while the bottom half shows the effort of her husband.
Compared to the two designs, Nupur stepped up the design of Bhuvneshwar hilariously, saying that it looks like the biological structure of coronavirus.
“It looks like corona,” Nupur wrote on her Instagram story.
Bhuvneshwar will be next in action in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The second phase of the fourteenth season of the cash-rich league will resume from September 19 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after being suspended in the first week of May due to COVID-19.
Bhuvneshwar is the seventh highest wicketkeeper in the profitable league and third among fast bowlers. He took 139 headers in 126 games at an average of 24.64, with 5/19 his best figures. Furthermore, the right archer is the third bowler and the first pacer to bowl maximum balls in the tournament. He has delivered 1204 dots so far and is only behind the spin duo of Harbhajan Singh (1268) and Ravichandran Ashwin (1215).
