Bramshaw Golf Club swaps hands – Golf News

The Bramshaw Golf Club in Hampshire has been sold by the Crosthwaite-Eyre family to new owners, Stellar Asset Management.

The sale, which amounted to an unknown amount, includes the New Forest venue’s two 18-hole courses and The Bell Inn, a boutique bar and restaurant with 28 bedrooms.

Stellar Asset Management already boasts a wide range of hotels and golf clubs in the UK, including the nearby Paultons Golf Center in Romsey and Murrayshall Country House Hotel & Golf Club in Perthshire, as well as numerous hotels across the country.

Bramshaw’s Forest Course is the oldest in Hampshire, built in 1865

In partnership with Ben Blackburn Golf, the golf club and inn will undergo a number of refurbishments, with the aim of raising all areas to the same high standard of other Stellar properties.

Jonathan Gain, CEO of Stellar Asset Management, said: ‘We are incredibly excited to welcome the Bramshaw Golf Club and The Bell Inn into our portfolio of leisure properties, and we look forward to exploring the potential of the golf course, clubhouse facilities and inn for the benefit of members and visitors. This is an exciting space for us, and the popularity of both courses among members and visitors offers great potential for our investors. ”

Bramshaw Golf Club is located in the heart of the New Forest and boasts a thriving membership and two 18-hole courses, the Manor, which opened in 1971, and the Forest, which was built in 1865 and claims to be the oldest golf course in Hampshire. Golfers playing on the forest course must face New Forest ponies, donkeys, cows and pigs walking on the clean field, although the greens are fenced to protect the seating areas.

The Bell Inn has 28 rooms and is ideal for golf periods

The Bell Inn, with 28 bedrooms, is an 18th-century inn located next to the club, surrounded by ancient woodland but just five minutes from Junction 1 off the M27. The inn has stone floors and large open fires, complemented by stylish furniture, comfortable seating areas and spacious dining rooms and a large bar area. Furthermore, there are rooms for weddings, corporate events and functions.

“We are delighted that we have completed the purchase of these two highly acclaimed properties that have character and are packed with potential, thanks to their fantastic location in one of the most beautiful parts of the country,” said Ben Blackburn. “We are also very happy to take over a business that was well run by the previous owners, and I want to thank them for everything they have done and wish them all the best for the future.”
