Camavinga joins David Beckham in an exclusive club after making his Real Madrid debut

Eduardo Camavinga, Real Madrid’s summer signing, tonight engraved his name in the history books of his new club after finding the net against Celta Vigo.

Benzema at the treble

Carlo Ancelotti’s men were recently back in the La Liga action.

Los Blancos, having secured seven points from an available nine in their first three outings of the new season, welcome Celta to the Bernabeu, aiming to keep pace with joint table-toppers Valencia and Atletico Madrid.

And when everything was said and done on Sunday night, that’s exactly what Real got it right.

A pulsating outing during which the hosts fall behind twice has finally seen Ancelotti and co. appears to the right of a 5-2 score.

Karim Benzema was the star of the program, proving his credentials as one of the best beaters in world football for the umpteenth occasion courtesy of a good hat trick:

Vinicius jr. Was also on Real’s goal, while Santi Mina and Franco Cervi beat Celta Vigo.

Glorious company

As outlined above, despite Benzema’s treble, it was in fact another of Los Merengues’ stars who stole the news at the Bernabeu on Sunday night.

The player in question? Eduardo Camavinga.

The French midfielder Camavinga – long regarded as one of the best emerging talents of European football – naturally moved to the Spanish capital late in the summer window of the years-long club Stade Rennais.

And against Celta, the teenager wasted little time to show exactly why the board at the Bernabeu decided to punish a large sum of money for his signature.

Remarkably, just six minutes after being sent off from the bench in the 2nd half, he scored his debut goal and scored the setback after Luka Modric’s initial effort was cleared:

During the opening of his account in Real’s colors, the youngest recruit of the La Liga giants also engraved his name in the history books of the club.

As revealed by statistician Mister Chip, Camavinga tonight became the sixth fastest player to ever get the net on their debut for Los Blancos.

A number of notable names appear just ahead of the Frenchman on the list, including current team-mate and Brazilian sensation Rodrygo (95 seconds) and former English international David Beckham (124 seconds):
