Patrice Beaumelle is eager to see the promising forward get regular playing time before the Africa Cup of Nations in January 2022
Amad Diallo is advised to seeks a loan away from Manchester United, with Ivory Coast coach Patrice Beaumelle eager to see the 19-year-old arrive before the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Elephants will perform continental in January 2022, and a number of European players will play a prominent role in their plans.
Diallo will make the cut if he fits, but he could be short on the sharpness of the game if he stays at Old Trafford and plays a bit of a role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the heavyweights in the Premier League.
What was said?
‘If you have talent like Amad Diallo, he needs to show it and improve on the field.
“I think if he does not play too much for Manchester United, it is better to borrow to show that he deserves to be in the series or to play more for Manchester United.”
Beaumelle, along with Eric Bailly, added another Ivorian in the books of the Red Devils who could struggle in 2021-22: ‘Of course I would like them to play more games, but to play at Manchester United, is not easy.
‘Like other players, like Serge Aurier at Tottenham, etc. But I call them every week.
“Playing for the country and with the orange jersey brings them a lot of joy and happiness, and that’s very important. I’m sure they will do the job.”
Will Bailly be frozen at Man Utd?
Diallo’s club colleague and compatriot committed to a new contract with United in April.
However, he has since seen the Red Devils pull up Raphael Varane of Real Madrid, while the winner of the World Cup falls into a talent pool with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
Bailly has already struggled to gain recognition before the ranks are further strengthened, but he is determined to prove his worth and help pursue the long-awaited big silverware in Manchester.
He told United’s Official Website: “We have a very strong team – we brought in Varane, who has good experience and is a very good player. Ten years, I think, he has won many trophies in Spain, and that is very good for the mentality of the team.
‘Varane has played a few games against United and many other English clubs and I know he is ready to give his all for the team.
‘For me, this season, the first thing is to be injury free, to train well and to wait for my time.
“That’s my mentality. With the team I hope we can win many, many trophies. Last season we played well and were second in the league and lost in the final against Villarreal, but always in football you still have a chance and I think this year is an opportunity to win many trophies. “
