Donovan honors Beckham with statue outside Galaxy Stadium

The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday that Landon Donovan will become the second club legend to be honored with a statue outside their home stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park.

Donovan, who currently coaches San Diego Loyal at the USL, will be immortalized outside the stadium with David Beckham, while the owner of Inter Miami sees his statue unveiled in 2019.

The unveiling of the former American men’s star will take place on October 3, when he will also be inducted into the club’s honor ring.
