Saqib Mahmood, pacer from Lancashire, was added to the English team as cover for the injured Broad, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Announced Wednesday.
The 24-year-old Mahmood is not yet making his Test debut, but was named ‘player of the series’ during the recent one-day international against Pakistan. He is the second additional call to the English team after the inclusion of an all-round runway Moeen Ali.
The second test starts on Thursday.
