The The long-awaited Test series between England and India starts from Wednesday (August 4). Both teams play the first Test of the five-match match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Before the series opens, India opens Rohit Sharma all engaged in a fun activity to strengthen the spirit of the outfit.
Rohit played an interesting game with his teammates to help the boys relieve the pressure. In the entertaining activity, the players were divided into two groups, with field coach R Sridhar get the task of hitting a tennis ball in the air.
A player from each team had to go under the ball and kick it off with his helmet. Before starting the game, Rohit was noticed giving instructions to the players to make them understand the rules.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on their Twitter handle in which all the top players like captain Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant and Ravichandran Ashwin seen how they enjoy every aspect of the game.
Meanwhile, Rohit, who got the idea for this fun activity, shared his thoughts on how he wants everyone to get involved in this team building movement.
“It was very simple. I think the guys did an excellent job. It’s a great way to start the day, you know, getting everyone involved was the whole idea, and we had a little fun, ‘ said the Mumbaikar.
Kohli and batting coach Vikram Rathour also asked their support staff to join this activity with the players.
“We all saw it was a lot of fun. So I thought it would be a good idea for support staff to participate as well, and we did. They were all very supportive, and we even saw Paaji come in and try his best. So, great fun, a great game to start the day with, ‘ said Rathour.
