India Women scored a consolation victory in the third and final ODI against England Women on Saturday. Horns join Worcester’s New Road, the Mithali Raj-led lace defeat Heather Knight & Co. with 4 wickets to end the series on a high note.
During the first innings, Team India starred Smriti Mandhana a beautiful catch pulled into the depths to deny England’s Natalie Sciver half a century.
Sciver looked at 49 and cleared the field on the leg side, but missed her shot. Meanwhile, Mandhana runs to the left, diving fully while keeping her eyes on the ball and completing the catch.
Mandhana’s incredible effort was appreciated on Twitter by fans and former cricketers.

Mandhana later flew Indian women and smashed five boundaries of the first 25 balls she was faced with, including three in one ear of Katherine Brunt.
During the second innings, India’s captain Mithali Raj also surpasses the former English skipper Charlotte Edward’s score of 10,273 runs to become the leading scorer in formats in women’s international cricket.
Both teams now include horns in the T20I series of three matches starting next week.
