The new Tottenham manager says he will speak to the attacker ‘as soon as possible’
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo says he expects to speak to Harry Kane in the near future after the English striker recently returned to the squad amid ties with Manchester City.
Kane recently denied reports that he refused to train with Tottenham because he is still associated with a move away from the club.
Nuno, meanwhile, has insisted that Kane remain a Tottenham player during these reports, and the new Spurs boss says he intends to speak out after the striker’s quarantine.
What was said?
“Harry is with us,” Nuno said after the Spurs’ 1-0 1-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday. ‘He has to be quarantined at The Lodge, but he’s already done his first day with the sports scientists, but he’s with us.
“I’ll talk to Harry as soon as possible.”
Address Lautaro rumors
While Kane is linked with Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola even acknowledging his interest in the striker, Spurs are linked with a move for Inter star Lautaro Martinez.
Tottenham will allegedly pay a £ 60m fee to sign the Argentine international, who scored 17 goals in 38 league games last season on his way to the Scudetto.
However, Nuno was not prepared to weigh the reports.
“I will not talk about any player,” he said. “I’ll just talk about my players, Tottenham players, and nothing else.”
