ICC announces latest ODI and T20I rankings

On Wednesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the latest rankings of One Day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (T20Is).

Indian captain Virat Kohli retained its places in both ODIs and T20Is. Kohli is second on the ODI rankings with 857 points, while the Delhi boy is in fifth place in the shortest format with 762 points.

India’s KL Rahul moved one shift to finish 6th in the T20Is, followed by Australian power play Glenn Maxwell, which also advanced one position.

West Indian opener Evin Lewis had a great series against South Africa and scored 178 runs in five matches. Lewis moved up one spot to finish ninth. Similarly, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock he advanced nine slots to the 13th after scoring 255 runs in the five-game match against West Indies.

England all-round Chris Woakes thanks to his incredible bowling performance against Sri Lanka in the recent three-match series, he achieved a third position among bowlers in the ODI Player Rankings.

Woakes bagged six wickets in two games, including a 4-wicket for 18 in the series. He advanced four positions in the list led by New Zealand pacemaker Trent Boult, with the Bangladeshi spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz in the second place.

Among the all-round category in T20Is, Afghanistan is a star Mohammad Nabi reached the second position, followed by Woakes, Ben Stokes and his compatriot Rashid Khan in third, fourth and fifth place respectively.

The leader of the list is Shakib Al Hasan – 387 points. Ravindra Jadeja is the only Indian in the list, in ninth place with 245 points.

As for team rankings, England is at the top of the T20Is with 278 ratings. On the other side, New Zealand are the toppers in ODIs, with 121 ratings.
