Ecclestone finished 4/88 and captain Heather Knight picked up two wickets as India’s 165-run course.
India started the day at 187/5 with another 60 runs to avoid follow-up but lost 7 for 20 to start the day on a bad note.
Without adding a single run to the overnight, India lost two wickets in vice-captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Taniya Bhatia as the collapse continued.
From 167 for no loss on day two, thanks to brilliant beats from Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, the rest did not apply themselves.
Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar designed a bailout in an effort by India to avoid the follow-up. However, the new ball immediately did the trick when Katherine Brunt boxed for Vastrakar to break the 33-run stand. Anya Shrubsole cleared Jhulan Goswami to end India’s innings.
