KL Rahul liked to contribute to the team’s goal in the first Test, but he would have been disappointed after missing a well-deserved century. However, in the second Test, he made sure he crossed the boundary, with an appropriate boundary through the outside that summed up his innings.
Prior to the start of the series, Rahul was considered a middle-order batsman vying for Ajinkya Rahane’s place in the squad. An untimely injury to Mayank Agarwal suddenly he brought him to the top. He took advantage of the opportunity with his newfound defensive technique.
After surviving the Test phase in the first session at Lord’s, Rahul opened up a bit after the conditions became suitable for batting. On the outside, there were plenty of square rows and cuts, combined with a solid defense. Once settled, he hit boundaries at random, with one of them bringing him to the 100-run landmark.

Rohit Sharma provides the perfect platform for KL Rahul to make money
Earlier in the day, Rohit Sharma dominated the opening table and consistently broke boundaries. He especially loved Sam Curran and crushed him four boundaries in an over. It made Rohit’s juices flow, and he did not look back from there.
Because Rahul still kept the bowlers away from one side, Rohit scored the bulk of the score before getting a peach from James Anderson, just minutes from Tea. He then put India in the driver’s seat against the 83-run.
At the end of Day 1’s game, India were in a strong position, with 276/3 in the 90 overs. Rahul was at 127, with Ajinkya Rahane on the other side. How they start on day 2 determines the total India that manages to get on the board.
