The Belgian striker’s agent says the Serie A champions need not fear his client during the summer
Romelu Lukaku’s agent assured Inter that his client would do so not looking for a move this summer, despite transfer speculation that the Belgian is interesting Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City.
Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola are looking for another goal scorer, and there is little better in European football than the prolific 28-year-old.
Lukaku also boasts useful experiences of life in England from the time of West Brom, Everton and Manchester United, with more than 100 goals in the top flight recorded after being denied opportunities at Stamford Bridge.
What was said?
Inter under pressure to sell this summer, with Achraf Hakimi already on the move, but Lukaku’s representative maintains that the speculation surrounding a star frontman has no substance.
Federico Pastorello tells FCInterNews on the question of whether the Serie A champions can be calm: ‘Yes, sure, sure.
‘Romelu is on holiday and I think he deserves a holiday like he’s taking. There are no problems. ‘
Will Lukaku stay at Inter?
Financial issues for the Nerazzurri are making life difficult for new boss Simone Inzaghi.
However, Lukaku has been linked to a contract until the summer of 2024 and has yet to see an exit open.
Pastorello has been in talks with Inter-base over future plans and looks fortunate enough for Lukaku to be able to continue in his current environment.
He said at the discussions: “It went well, we made an inventory of different situations.”
Lukaku joined Inter from Manchester United in 2019 and has scored 64 goals in 95 games in all competitions.
