IPL 2021: We would like to start the second phase in this way

Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capital (DC) captain, was pleased with the way his team won by 8 wickets Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Wednesday in Dubai.

DC chased the 135 goal with 13 balls and climbed to the top of the standings, replacing the Chennai Super Kings with their seventh win of the season.

Pant himself announced a return to form with a quick fire of 35 * from 21, as did Shreyas Iyer who remained unbeaten at 47; Shikhar Dhawan continued from where he left off in May with a knockout of 42 runs. To focus on the process and give 100% every day, the mantra for the pants remains, which is maintained as the skipper.

“We discussed that we had a good first phase, and we are happy to start the second phase this way. We said the same thing about focusing on the process and giving it 100% every day, ”Rishabh Pant said during the post-match conference.

This is a big advantage: Rishabh Pant on Rabada and Nortje

The victory for DC was set up in the first innings by Anrich Nortje’s 2/12, Kagiso Rabada, by three wickets. The South African pair made breakthroughs during the match and did not allow the SRH batsmen to settle them and a total of less than par; Axar Patel also took a few wickets.

Rishabh Pant was full of praise for the two fast bowlers and regarded them as ‘great assets’.

‘It’s a good bowling performance because we thought 150-160 would have been a good total, so 130-something was a good score to limit it. We have one of the fastest bowlers in the world, so I think that’s a great asset.

The capitals travel next to Abu Dhabi where they will meet Rajasthan Royals on Saturday afternoon. Hyderabad will go to Sharjah on Saturday night to tackle the Punjab Kings.
