Joe Root, on the other hand, smashed 8745 Test runs in 194 overs with 49 half-centuries and 20 tons.

He was equally good in the 50-over format, having accumulated 6,109 runs in 142 overs at an average of 51.34, which also includes 3,550s and 16 tons.
Overall, Root has so far accumulated 15,739 runs in 366 overs at an average of 48.72 with 89 50s and 36 hundred.
The English captain looks ominous during the ongoing Test against India, and the visitors will strive to get him in the afternoon as soon as possible.
