The 19-year-old wants to make a bargain trip to Turin because his club is trying not to lose him in December.
Santos’ goal scorer, Kaio Jorge, is on a summer move to Juventus when the Italian giants get a transfer for the young jewel.
Purpose understand that Juve have agreed anything but Santos for the 19-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of 2021.
Kaio can travel to Italy as early as Thursday to complete his link.
A Bargain for Juve
If he takes advantage of his expiring contract, which means he can leave for free in December, he has withdrawn relatively favorable terms from Santos for the sale of their valued youngster.
The Old Lady initially spent € 3 million on Kaio, half of which will be paid out this year and the rest in 2022, plus another € 1 million in bonuses.
Santos will also hold 5 percent of the profits from a future sale, as well as the initial refusal to relocate a loan if the forward returns to Brazil.
Benfica have also shown interest in Kaio, but he wants to choose Turin after appearing on the scene at Vila Belmiro.
The bigger picture
Kaio, a native of Olinda, Pernambuco, joined Santos at the age of ten and has since spent his entire career at the historic Brazilian club.
In 2018, he made his first team debut at 16 by then-coach Cuca, and the following year he picked up the bronze boot when he was at the helm of Brazil’s victory at the Under-17 World Cup.
However, it was in 2020 that the teenager really came to the fore during Santos’ run to the Copa Libertadores final, where they lost to Palmeiras.
He finished the tournament as the top scorer of his club, having scored five times in 12 games en route to the deciding player.
