Friday night at the Olympic Games. What could be better?

After starting her career 4-for-4 in the Olympic individual competition, Katie Ledecky achieved her first silver medal in individual competition in the 400 meter freestyle. Her first gold medal from this year’s Olympics came during the first women’s 1500m freestyle.

She won her third consecutive gold in the 800-meter freestyle on Saturday in Tokyo.

Speaking of fast-paced adventures, for the first time in the history of the Olympic Games, the mixed relay of 4×400 m takes place. The mixed relay is one of seven new mixed male / female team events. The team consists of four athletes, two women and two men racing with each other.

There were some early problems with the American team and they are disqualified for an illegal pass only to be reinstated and take part in the final.

Dressel, Ledecky do it again with gold medals

After winning his first individual gold in the 100-meter freestyle on Wednesday, Caeleb Dressel won the 100-meter butterfly with a world record swim of 49:45. Hungarian Kristof Milak won silver, followed by Swiss Noe Ponti for bronze. Dressel loses one last race at the Tokyo Games.

Katie Ledecky scored three peters in her 800-meter freestyle relay with a swim of 8:12:57. She has won three gold medals in three Olympics in the event and now has six individual gold medals in the pool, the most by any woman. She has a total of seven gold medals. Australian Ariarne Titmus follows 1.26 seconds behind Ledecky for silver in the 800, while Italian Simona Quadarella finishes third.

The Americans missed the podium in the women’s 200-meter backstroke, while Australia won the gold medal (Kaylee McKeown) and bronze (Emily Seebohm), while Canada’s Kylie Masse won the silver. – Aishwarya Kumar

Pool play perfect for American beach volleyball women
