After the break, City Stars looked to be on the better side when they slammed into Gor again, and it was Elvis Noor who hit the woodwork in the 48th minute after being penetrated by Ezekiel Odera.

However, Gor Mahia equalized in the 54th minute when Karim Nikiema broke past City Stars’ backhand before releasing a powerful shot, which struck goalkeeper Steven Njue back into play and Ulimwengu reacted quickly to the ball of the rebound to stop.

After the goal City Stars made a double change, goal scorers Okumu and Odera came down for Ezekiel Ombija and David Agesa, and five minutes later Elvis Noor was rested for Timothy Ouma.

It was Ombija who almost delivered the second goal to City Stars in the 75th minute, but he lost control after receiving the ball from Nicholas Kipkirui, and it rolled out.
