NHL Announces 2022 All-Star Schedules, Last Men In Options Before February 5 Game in Las Vegas

COVID-19 improved much of the NHL’s season, but the league regrouped before the 2022 NHL All-Star Game. The NHL on Thursday released its four division list and unveiled the 2022 NHL All-Star Last Men In, a system for fans to select the teams’ final players.

The division captains, as decided by the NHL All-Star Fan Stem, is Toronto Maple Leafs centre Auston Matthews (Atlantic Ocean), Colorado Flood centre Nathan MacKinnon (Central), Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin (Metropolitan) en Edmonton Oilers centre Connor McDavid (Pacific).

Andrew Brunette (Florida Panthers, Atlantic Division), Jared Bednar (Colorado Avalanche, Central Division), Rod Brind’Amour (Carolina Hurricanes, Metropolitan Division), and Peter DeBoer (Vegas Golden Knights, Pacific Division) are scheduled to coach after leading their teams to the highest point percentage in their respective divisions until January 10th.

The 2022 NHL All-Star Last Men In will allow fans to choose the final player on each of the four division lists. Fans can vote for up to four players from a list of 32 – one from each team – and most vote-takers will earn All-Star nods.
