The 48-year-old former Nigerian predicted a first season victory for the Gunners when they play at home on Saturday
Nigerian legend Jay-Jay Okocha has revealed his prediction for the Premier League matches scheduled for the weekend, allowing Arsenal to secure a convincing victory against Norwich City.
The outfit in North London has had a painful start to their 2021-22 campaign, and they have yet to win a match from the three played players who lie at the bottom of the 20-man squad.
And before their fourth game of the campaign against Norwich at the Emirates Stadium, the former Super Eagles midfielder predicted a 3-1 victory for the team of Mikel Arteta.
In a post on his Instagram page, the 48-year-old, who played for Bolton Wanderers in England, made his prediction for all six Premier League matches scheduled for Saturday.
In his other predictions, Okocha beat Manchester United, who will give wing Cristiano Ronaldo a second bow, to beat Newcastle United 4-0 at Old Trafford, while also scoring a 2-1 win for Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace predicted. Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park Stadium.
Despite enjoying a host of African players, including Zambia’s Patson Daka, Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, Daniel Amartey of Ghana, Okocha tipped Leicester City to beat Manchester City 4-1 in their backyard.
Okocha also predicted a 2-0 win for Watford, who also enjoyed the presence of Nigerian players led by Emmanuel Dennis, Oghenekaro Etebo and Senegalese forward Ismaila Sarr, against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and predicted a 3-0 victory for Chelsea against Aston Villa.
Arsenal started their campaign on a losing note after being promoted 2-0 at Brentford Community Stadium against Brentford.
The Gunners then suffered a 2-0 defeat against Chelsea at the Emirates before traveling to the Etihad Stadium where they were beaten 5-0 by Man City.
