The last time Pakistan toured Bangladesh in 2015, they were whitewashed 3-0 by the Tigers in the one-day series and also lost the only T20I match, but managed to win the Test series 1-0.

Pakistan has an impeccable record in Tests against Bangladesh with 10 wins from 11 matches. They also enjoy an impressive record in the T20Is against Bangladesh with 10 wins from 12 matches.

Pakistan are second on the ICC World Cup (2021-23) standings with one win in two matches, while Bangladesh will start their campaign against Pakistan.

There is also a high level of possibility that Bangladesh could join Pakistan in Group 2 of the ICC T20 World Cup Super 12 phase, if they become the winners of Group B in the qualifying phase.
