IPL 2021: PBKS vs RR- Prediction, who will win the match between Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals? The two multi-year underperformers in IPL, Rajasthan Royals, tackle Punjab Kings in the 32nd match of IPL 2021 on Tuesday. Both sides did not fare too well in the first leg of IPL 2021. Rajasthan Royals are currently in fifth place on the table, scoring three wins out of seven. On the other hand, Punjab Kings sits sixth with 3 wins in 8 games.
Big names in Rajasthan Royals’ camp, such as Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, will be missed for various reasons. Jos Buttler also withdrew from the second leg of the tournament due to the impending birth of his second child. Their absence is definitely going to hurt them, but one could do nothing about it.
However, they made big replacements in the form of Ewin Lewis, Glenn Phillips, Tabraiz Shamsi. Andrew Times will also not be available to them. Oshane Thomas has been included as his replacement. In a big boost for them, Liam Livingstone is also back in the mix for the second leg of the tournament.
All three of the big hits, namely Evin Lewis, Liam Livingstone and Glenn Phillips, are in sensational shape with the bat. It will be interesting to see which four overseas players play the XI for the Royals. Sanju Samson en Chris Morris were the notable players for the franchise in the Indian leg of the tournament. Samson took the lead with the bat, while Morris was their highest wicketkeeper.
The biggest concern right now is their Indian contingent. Like Riyan Parag, Tewatia and Yashasvi Jaiswal did not really live up to expectations. The trio should get on the board if Rajasthan take their chances in the play-off rounds.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings walked disappointingly in the first leg of the tournament. They could only score three wins in 8 games. Thanks to these three victories, they find themselves in sixth place on the points ladder.
KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal were the top scorers. However, midfielders could not benefit from the start offered by the openers. With only six games left, Punjab can not afford to start the second leg on a losing note. The people like Nicholas Pooran, Chris Morris and Aiden Markram have to deliver substantial performances if Punjab has to make a U-turn from here.
Also, their building unit does not inspire much confidence. Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith pulled out of the second leg. The onus is now more on the shoulders of M Shami and Chris Jordan.
To give strength to their spin bowling division, they enlisted Adil Rashid. Punjab already has people like Murugan Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi in the team. We still have to see how many spinners they will gain against Rajasthan Royals.
