Pleasant Valley Golf Club, located in Chantilly, Virginia, is a semi-private course opened in 1998 and designed by Tom Clark of Ault, Clark & Associates. Golf Digest has a 4.5-star facility, and there are four sets of t-pieces that extend up to 6,915 meters, while the front set comfortably plays 5,106. Soft hilly hills, meadows and holes lined with hardwood make the city’s bustle seem like a distant memory. In fact, Dulles Airport is only a 15 minute drive away.
One of the highlights on the layout is the 5th hole par 5 which plays along the densely wooded eastern boundary of the property. This uphill downhill shot requires you to drive past a bunker, and if you have a large ride, you need to decide whether you want to challenge the three bunkers guarding the front of the green or lie in a safer position. The par-3 7th hole, which plays over a pond-tea-to-green, will also test your steel.

Green festivals range from $ 65 during the week to $ 85 on weekends and holidays. Seniors and juniors receive special rates and there are also prizes out of season and dusk. Recent updates to the Pleasant Valley Golf Club include a refreshment of the clubhouse, including a brand new paint job. Bunkers have been updated with new sand and several cabinets have been refurbished this fall. There is a full training facility that includes a short game area.
