After the incredible victory of the Indian team at Lord’s in the 2nd Test against England, the head coach of India, Ravi Shastri, said that winning at Lord’s is something special. The Virat Kohli and boys hammered English batsmen in the 2nd innings on day 5 to limit them to just 120 at a target of 272. Eight batsmen in England were dismissed for a single-digit score against a dangerous pass attack by India.
England has a dominant position in the match on the stumps of Day 4. After a 27-run lead in the first innings, the Joe Root front pushed India to a miserable 208-8 score.
However, Indian pacers Mohammed Shami (56 *) and Jasprit Bumrah (34 *) broke an 89-run stand for the ninth wicket, bringing India to a total of 298-8 (d). Later, Indian passers-by crushed the batsmen of England to win the match by 151 runs, which resulted in a massive victory at Lord’s.

Indian opener Rohit Sharma also shared a tweet in which he mentions that each of us wants to achieve the victory.

Rohit Sharma played an important shot of 83 runs in the first innings, before losing his wicket with a low score of 21 in the 2nd innings. KL Rahul, who scored an amazing century (129) in the first innings, was crowned player of the match.
With the victory, India took a 1-0 lead in the 5-match Test series. India also earned 14 points in the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 points ladder, and currently occupies second place with a PCT of 58.33. The Virat Kohli and his company will now fight England in the 3rd Test at Headingly in Leeds, which starts on 25 August (Wednesday).
