Real Madrid 2021-22 set: new styles for home and away jerseys and release dates

Real Madrid unveil their latest kits under adidas this summer, and the home jersey has already been released

Real Madrid may have finished the trophy-free season for the first time since 2009-10, but the Liga team will be ready for next season and a challenge for silverware and titles.

They will face the departure of head coach Zinedine Zidane from the club, while Carlo Ancelotti will return as his replacement.

Los Blancos will be a semi-new look for the 2021-22 season, and they will be covered in a brand new set of shirts by the manufacturer adidas.

Before the new campaign, Purpose look at what Real Madrid will wear and release dates, as well as leaks and rumors about possible styles.

Real Madrid’s home kit and release date for 2021-22

Real Madrid’s new home set below adidas was released on June 1st.

It features the club’s classic all-white kit, but this time it features extra blue and orange accents for a more eye-catching doll.

The design for the latest house strip was inspired by the city of Madrid, as well as the worldwide support for the team.

adidas combines the traditional Los Blancos white with a spiral design symbolizing the iconic Plaza de Cibeles fountains, an area in the city of Madrid where fans gather to celebrate victories and titles.

The kit, with its distinctive white base, is accentuated by shades of orange and blue as a way to illustrate Madrid’s status as an urban and cultural center. It also pays homage to the three stripes of adidas, with the corresponding logos and sponsors – still Emirates – on the front.

“Real Madrid is a unique team with a unique history. We wanted to keep the design of the jerseys this season bold, but simple, to reflect the expectation of the badge, and that is to win, ”says Marco Omiccioli, designer at adidas.

“With a meaningful reference to the Cibeles in the city and the colors of the stadium, which the players and fans of the clubs are proud to call home, we wanted to give our fans a sense of pride when they wear this season’s shirt. Real Madrid has always been a club of a different canvas, and this year’s jersey is no different.

Real Madrid’s away box and release date for 2021-22

The Real Madrid away pack was officially released on August 5 and can be purchased via the adidas website and the club’s online store.

The design represents art, music and people – the three pillars of culture in the Spanish capital – and was inspired by the Malasana district, with abstract graffiti graphics made in the shirt.

The triumphant blue base color is complemented by happy orange stripes on the shoulders, with the loop of the neck also in orange and embedded with a special art-inspired Real Madrid logo.

A range of high-performance recycled materials called PRIMEGREEN completes the new jersey, with the innovation of temperature control in adidas, to keep players cool on the field.

The Real Madrid women’s team is wearing the shirt against Sparta Prague for the first time today, while the men’s team will model the away jersey in a friendly match with Milan on August 8.

Real Madrid’s third set and release date for 2021-22

According to online sites, Los Blancos’ third shirt will consist of a bright teal color that contains a unique design of a compass and its needle, as a tribute to the memorial plaque of the Puerta del Sol, in the center of Madrid .

In Puerta del Sol, a marble slab on a street has the letter “Km 0”, meaning that it is the center of both Madrid and Spain — the cross-section of the two roads in the country.

How much will they cost and where to buy?

Fans will be able to buy the new Real Madrid kits at the club’s mega store, as well as the usual shopping malls in the street.

Alternatively, they can be purchased online through the club’s official online store.

Last season’s Real Madrid jerseys can be bought for £ 44 for adults.

Note: prices may vary.
