The two players scored a goal on Saturday when BVB started their Bundesliga campaign with a victory
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Giovanni Reyna has named his superstar team-mate Erling Haaland to become one of the greatest of all time.
Haaland started his career in Dortmund in incredible form, after scoring 62 goals in 61 games with the club following his clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
The Norwegian also scored three assists in the 5-2 victory, including one in the second half for Reyna.
What was said?
“He is getting better,” Reyna said of Haaland in quotes published Fox Sports. ‘It seems like he picks up something new every day and adds it to his game.
“It’s hard to say what the ceiling is for him. He can be incredible, he can be amazing. I mean, he already is. He can really be one of the best ever.”
Regarding the current Dortmund team, Reyna added: “The chemistry of the team is currently high. It is the best since I was in Dortmund.”
Dortmund were clear they were not prepared to sell the 21-year-old this summer, although some of the biggest clubs in Europe have taken a step back.
Real Madrid is one of the clubs, and Purpose understand the Blancos did not rule out a late summer bid if the opportunity presented itself.
Madrid also love PSG star Kylian Mbappe, and the club are more likely to move to one of the two players next summer.
What’s next for Dortmund?
Dortmund will face a test in the early season on Tuesday when they face Bayern Munich in the DFL Supercup.
They will then return to the Bundesliga action next weekend when they visit Freiburg.
