Ronaldo: ‘Phenomenal, extraordinary and inspiring’ – Oliseh storms over Manchester United star

The Afrikaans football legend is in awe of the Red Devils star who received a prop on his return to Old Trafford against the Magpies

Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United is ‘phenomenal, extraordinary and inspiring’ according to the Afrikaans football big Sunday Oliseh.

The Portuguese international returned his Red Devils with a double play when the men of Ole Gunnar Solskjær ran past Newcastle United 4-1 on Saturday night.

Ronaldo (36) led the Manchester kit in the closing stages of the first half before completing his prop two minutes after the hour was chased by Luke Shaw on goal.

The former Super Eagles captain and manager, amazed at the performance of the former Real Madrid and Juventus star, was alerted to his praise for the Portuguese international on social media after his first start at the club.

“Incredible return! World class 36 years and seven months old, never done! Phenomenal, extraordinary, inspiring… Bravo CR7, ”Oliseh wrote on Twitter.

After his dream started against Steve Bruce’s Magpies, Ronaldo went to social media to enjoy his impressive performance.

“My return to Old Trafford was just a brief reminder of why this stadium is known as the Theater of Dreams,” he wrote on Instagram.

‘For me, it’s always been a magical place where you can reach everything you’ve planned.

‘Together with all my teammates and with the incredible support we always get from the stands, we face the road ahead with confidence and optimism that we will all celebrate together in the end.

“Proud to be at Manchester United again and play in the Premier League again, but especially to help the team! Let’s go, Devils!”

He added to BBC Sport: ‘It’s incredible. When I started the game, I was so nervous, I swear. This is usually because I did not expect them to sing my entire game. I was very nervous, but maybe I did not show, but I was. The reception is incredible, but I’m here to win matches and help the team.

“It was an incredible moment. I was very nervous and last night thought I wanted to play well and show I am still able to help the team. This club is amazing and I am so proud. I’m going to give everything to make them proud of me.

‘Everyone knows that football in England is different from any other part of the world, and to be honest, it is the most special. I arrived here at 18 and they treated me amazingly and that’s why I’m back. ”

Ronaldo would hope to continue his good form for Solskjaer’s team when they take on West Ham United in their next match on 19 September. Before that, they tackle Young Boys in the Champions League.
