Sachin Tendulkar, Dinesh Karthik leads wishes on India’s 75th Independence Day

India celebrates its 75th independence day today (August 15). The day is celebrated at the end of the British rule in India in 1947. On the special occasion, several former and current cricketers visited social media to greet their fellow Indians.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar wished his countrymen Independence Day and said he always wore the Indian flag on his helmet.

“तारत हमेशा सर आँखों पर! I always proudly wore the Flag of India on my helmet, and it always reminded me why I stepped on the field. Wishing a very happy 75th #Independence Day to all the Indians around the world. Jai Hind! ” tendulkar tweeted.

Senior wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik writing: ‘One of the biggest feelings is to listen to the national anthem before we step on the field to represent our country. Always cherish it! Bharat Mata ki Jai Happy 75th Independence Day for every Indian #Independence Day. ”

Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman always wanted the Indian Tricolor to fly high.

As we celebrate our 75th Independence Day, we must pay tribute to our great Freedom Fighters who fought bravely and laid the foundation for our independence. May the Indian tricolor always fly high (Flag of India) Jai Hind… .Happy #Independence Day ” wrote Laxman on the micro-blog site.
