CPL 2021 Final: St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs St Lucia Kings- Prediction, who will win the CPL 2021 final? In the final of CPL 2021, St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots tackle Saint Lucia Kings at Warner Park on Wednesday. Both put on a sensational performance in their respective semi-finals to get here.
St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots clinched a 7-wicket clinical victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the second semifinal. The bowlers bowled excellently and could not allow the opposition to enter into large partnerships. Their batsmen could not take advantage of the start they got.
For the Patriots, Jon-Russ Jaggesar, Dominic Drakes, Naseem Shah and Fawad Ahmed each picked up two wickets. However, Shimron Hetmyer played right to the end and drove the total to 178 runs after hitting 20 runs, including 3 sixes, to Sheldon Cottrell in the final round. Hetmyer remains unbeaten on 45 off 20 balls.
However, the total did not prove enough, as it only took 17.5 overs before the Patriots could chase it. Chris Gayle en Evin Lewis gave the team a quick start to the innings as they added 68 runs in the first six overs. Chris Gayle ran out in the 8ste over of the innings after scoring 42 off 27 balls. However, Evin Lewis continued his fireworks.
Dwayne Bravo’s promotion at number three also worked well for them, as he added 88 runs with Lewis for the second wicket and made the chase look like a walk in the park. Dwayne Bravo came out in the 16ste after scoring 34 off 31 balls, but then did his job. Evin Lewis remained unbeaten on 77 off 39 balls and led the team to a seven-wicket victory.
In front of them is Saint Lucia Kings, who wreaked havoc in the first semi-final with the bat against Trinbago Knight Riders. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Saint Lucia Kings scored a massive total of 205 runs. Mark Deyal laid the foundation with a lightning strike of 78 runs in just 44 balls. Roston Chase (36 of 21), David Wiese (34 of 21) and Tim David (38 of 21) also made significant contributions to the total.
The bowlers have also ensured that they do not allow Trinbago to enter into large partnerships as they regularly take wickets. Sunil Narine (30 of 17), Colin Munro (28 of 23), Denesh Ramdin (29 of 26), Bravo (25 of 16) and Pollard (26 of 13) all came out in their 20s and 30s.
Dawid Wiese was once again brilliant with the ball when he chose his second wicket of five wickets in the tournament. Alzarri Joseph also scored an impressive 1 for 24 and ensured he did not give a loose delivery to the opposition.
