The Indian cricket fraternity greets wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya as he packs silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

On Thursday, India wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya history after winning a silver medal in the men’s freestyle category, 57 kg during the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Dahiya faces Zavur Uguev but lost the last game.

It was India’s second silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Earlier weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in the competition.

In response to the news, the Indian cricket fraternity praises Dahiya for his phenomenal effort during his debut Olympics. Senior Indian batsman Dinesh Karthik congratulated Dahiya on winning the coveted medal.

‘Congratulations #RaviKumarDahiya on winning a fantastic #Olympic Games. You are going to be an inspiration to many. Bend!,” tweeted Karthik.

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar praised Dahiya for the match in the last match.

‘Fantastic effort, Ravi Kumar Dahiya, it was such a strong achievement. You put everything on the mat, and we are all very proud of you. Congratulations on the silver medal, โ€ Tendulkar wrote on the micro-blog site.

Former Indian versatile player Yuvraj Singh is called Dahiya ‘pride of India’ while congratulating the wrestler.

‘A breathtaking achievement by the pride of our country #RaviKumarDahiya! Wrestle like a mighty warrior and give in at no stage! This is what champions consist of! Congratulations!,” Yuvraj tweeted.
