Tom Latham has been announced to lead the team for the series with limited matches against Bangladesh and Pakistan ahead of the T20 World Cup. The New Zealand Cricket Board has also confirmed that coach Gary Stead will continue in the coaching role of the T20 World Cup until the Test tour to India. The Kiwis also announced a group of 15 members for the T20 Worldcup, excluding veteran Ross Taylor and the versatile Colin de Grandhomme.
“Tom Latham is the captain of the team in Bangladesh and Pakistan, and the usual combination of captain Kane Williamson and coach Gary Stead will resume his duties for the T20 World Cup and the Test tour to India,” New Zealand Cricket Board confirmed
New Zealand plays a five T20I series against Bangladesh, followed by a one-day match with three matches against Pakistan and finally the T20I series of five matches against Pakistan.
