WATCH: Mohammad Rizwan takes a shock to fire Jomel Warrican – WI vs PAK 2021, 1st Test

On Sunday, West Indies scored an exciting victory by one wicket Pakistan while the visitors destroyed themselves during the final session of the fourth day when they were on their way to seal the first Test of the series of two matches at Sabina Park in Kinston, Jamaica.

After Pakistan were bowled out for 217 runs in their second innings, nine of the hosts’ wickets were selected on a field that helped the fast bowlers.

Hassan Ali, Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Abbas everyone dropped a catch each; otherwise the visitors would have won the match.

Rizwan, however, compensated for his reduced catch by taking an astonishing steering Jomel Warrican back to the pavilion.

The Pakistani wicketkeeper caught a blind after Warrican tried to get a hook shot from Ali in the 53rd over, but managed to get a massive top edge that flew to the third man.

Here is the video:

Charid Roach, known for his fiery fast bowling magic, played an eager 30-run beat on Sunday and took West India across the finish line with just one wicket left.

‘I’ve never been in a situation like this before and I batted with my tail. I’m part of the tail, so for me it was to go out there and believe. It was the greatest thing – to believe and stay positive – and it worked, and I resigned. The plan was to just stay positive. It is me. I was just trying to take on every ball as it came. This is by far the most important innings so far, “ Roach said during a conversation with the announcers after the game.

‘I was just trying to find the gaps and run hard. My advice to Jayden was just to protect the stumps. The biggest threat is the straight ball. He did it very well. He is a star for the future. His five wickets today speak wonders about our cricket. All the best to him, and I wish him a wonderful career, “ he added.
