On Friday, Pakistan achieves their highest total ever in T20Is, using an opening period of 150 runs in between Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam against England in Nottingham. Both openers laid the foundation for a grand total of 232/6.
In response, the English batsmen were only able to add seven runs in their first over of the innings. World no. 1 Dawid Malan opened with Jason Roy in the absence of Jos Buttler, who was ruled out due to the calf injury of the first T20I against Pakistan.
Malan, however, was undone by two brilliant pieces from the fast bowler Shaheen Afridi. First, left-armer Malan fumbled with a slower ball that held in the pitch, and then he made a full dive to grab the ball, with the white leather that was wrong at the back of the field.

Later, Liam Livingstone beats the fastest T20I ton by an English player but could not take his side over the finish line as Pakistan scored a 31-run victory in the first match of the three-match series.
Livingstone hit nine sixes and six fours during his 43-ball 103, but the visitors kept their nerves to a hard-fought victory in a high score. Alom player Shadab Khan turned the match in Pakistan’s favor by showing Lewis Gregory (10) and Livingstone in the 17th over. The host could not return from that stage and lost the match by 31 runs.
