Mò Mò is a new bakery and bistro located in Long Eaton, Derbyshire. It serves authentic Italian-style brunches and Mediterranean sandwiches. The establishment is inspired by the owner’s homeland, Puglia.

Previously, this site operated as a charity shop. However, the transformation into a bakery has attracted significant attention. During its soft opening, Mò Mò served over 100 people.

Key features of Mò Mò:

  • The bakery’s seating capacity is 12.
  • It offers pizza and aperitivo nights every Thursday for £29.90 for two.
  • Opening hours are brunch from Friday to Sunday and dinner from Thursday to Saturday.

Leonardo Giaschi, the owner, begins baking at 5 am every day. He aims to provide guests with a proper experience without rushing tables. “I feel very happy and stressed as expectation is always going to be bigger and bigger,” he said.

In contrast, Peak & Stone Bakery in Chesterfield has also been making waves in the baking scene. Launched in October 2025 by Tom and Emily Martin, it has won two prestigious awards for Britain’s Best Plain Sourdough and Best Flavoured Sourdough in 2026.

Awards won by Peak & Stone Bakery:

  • Best Plain Sourdough — 2026
  • Best Flavoured Sourdough — 2026
  • Other accolades include awards for their Brown Butter Yuzu and Honey Cake, Honey, Lemon and Pistachio Cake, and Spelt Carrot Cake.

The Martins have a combined 20 years of baking experience. Their dedication has resulted in rapid success within just six months of operation.

Mò Mò’s introduction to Long Eaton adds competition to the local food scene. Both bakeries focus on quality ingredients and unique recipes, showcasing the rich traditions of Italian baking.
