Rogers’ move to Chelsea
Morgan Rogers has completed his move to Chelsea from Aston Villa, signing a seven-year deal. The transfer, valued at £117m, makes him the Blues’ record signing. The agreement for the England international was reached on Saturday, with Chelsea securing his signature ahead of Arsenal, who had also been in discussions.
A significant factor in Rogers’ decision to join the west London club was the opportunity to work under new manager Xabi Alonso. Rogers’ deal is considered a major coup for the club since Cole Palmer’s arrival from Manchester City in 2023.
