Lidl has officially launched its Medium Ceramic Egg Grill, priced at £249. This new product is available exclusively for Lidl Plus members.
Reservations for the grill started on April 23 and will end on April 26. Customers can pick up their grills from April 30 to May 4.
The grill features a thermo-regulating ceramic shell and an internal thermometer, allowing cooks to monitor food temperatures in real-time. It is designed for grilling, smoking, baking, and searing—four distinct cooking functions.
In comparison, a similar model from B&Q is priced at approximately £500. This creates a price difference of over £250, positioning Lidl’s grill as a budget-friendly alternative.
Lidl’s model is smaller and lighter than the B&Q version. It also includes bamboo handles and side tables for food preparation.
This launch reflects Lidl’s strategy to attract price-sensitive households looking to upgrade their outdoor cooking setups ahead of the summer season.
Interestingly, this is Lidl’s first medium-sized grill following the previous launch of a miniature version of an egg BBQ. The timing aligns with spring demand spikes.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the total number of units available and how quickly they will sell out.
As of now, customers are encouraged to reserve their grills promptly due to anticipated high demand.
