Despite a potential reunion for their children, Prince William remains firmly opposed to reconciling with Prince Harry. This conflict continues to strain family ties within the royal family.
Early Tuesday, sources revealed that Prince William has agreed for his kids to meet with Prince Harry’s kids. The potential meeting is expected to take place in the U.K. sometime this summer.
However, Prince William is reportedly still maintaining distance from his brother and is deeply uncomfortable with direct reconciliation. Insiders suggest that it has become a huge battle because William carries enormous influence behind the scenes.
The feud stems from Harry’s departure from royal duties in January 2020. Since then, William has allegedly resisted any reunion efforts between Harry and Meghan Markle and the royal family.
King Charles III is keen on ensuring that family ties remain intact for the next generation. Yet, Charles is convinced that William is meddling and quietly working against him.
The brothers have reportedly not spoken since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022. Tensions escalated again following Prince Harry’s recent trip to Australia.
As of midday, it remains unclear whether the planned meeting between the cousins will actually take place. Additionally, Harry has refused to bring his kids to the U.K. without adequate protection, complicating matters further.
Prince William’s stance suggests he views Harry’s actions as incompatible with royal loyalty and discretion. He is reportedly blocking an invite for Harry and his family to Sandringham.
