Meanwhile, police are investigating vandalism at Chaddesden Wood. Two mature oak trees—estimated to be around 100 years old—were seriously damaged.
The trees have a combined value of £145,000 and are protected by a Tree Preservation Order.
Authorities have not disclosed whether the incidents are connected to the ongoing investigation into the trees.
